#59 of 70 hotels in Gatlinburg based on Tripadvisor

5.2/10

The location of this hotel was pretty convenient for getting around, but the overall experience left a lot to be desired. The rooms seemed a bit outdated and also had a musty smell, which was disappointing. While the staff tried their best, there were definitely some service hiccups that made the stay frustrating at times. Overall, I don't think I would choose to stay here again based on my experience.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms were large but had a strange smell and appeared to have some dirty spots on the ceiling, which made them feel less inviting.
Service
6.0
Service was a bit inconsistent; while some staff were friendly, others seemed overwhelmed and not as responsive.
Location
8.0
The hotel’s location was good for accessing nearby attractions, making it easy to walk to various spots in Gatlinburg.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast options were very limited and not well-maintained, which was a letdown during our stay.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities were lacking; the elevators were not cleaned during our stay, which contributed to an overall sense of neglect.

5.0/10

My experience at this hotel was overwhelmingly disappointing. The first room we entered was in horrendous condition; there were smashed bugs on the walls, significant water damage, and even black mold. After requesting a different room and being told there were none available, I sought a refund from the manager, only to face further issues with billing. Conversely, I enjoyed a much better stay at another hotel where the rooms were clean, spacious, and conveniently located with easy access to restaurants.

Rooms
5.0
The first room was disgusting with bugs and mold, while the second room was much nicer, but dated.
Service
5.0
The staff was unhelpful, especially during the initial check-in process.
Location
5.0
The location is decent, but it doesn’t make up for the state of the hotel.

6.0/10

My stay at the motel had its ups and downs. While the location is fantastic, allowing easy access to local attractions, the overall condition of the property left much to be desired. The rooms are spacious and clean, but I encountered issues like broken handrails and elevators that frequently malfunctioned. The service was a mix; some staff were pleasant, but others were less accommodating. Overall, it was a decent experience but not without its challenges.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were spacious and clean, providing a comfortable stay despite minor maintenance issues like a rotten balcony railing.
Service
5.0
While some staff were friendly, there were several rude interactions with the desk staff, which was disappointing.
Location
9.0
The location was a definite highlight, making it easy to walk to attractions and enjoy Gatlinburg.
Dining
5.0
There was no breakfast service available, just coffee, which was a letdown given the expectations.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities need significant upgrades, particularly the elevators and stairs, which were often not in working condition.

5.0/10

During my stay, I found the hotel could use some serious improvements. The location was excellent, being close to attractions, but the service was severely lacking and staff interactions were frustrating. The rooms were quite run down and not as described, which diminished my experience overall. While the parking was convenient, the additional fees imposed without prior notice felt unjustified.

Rooms
5.0
The room I received was on the upper floor and not facing the creek as advertised. It felt old and poorly maintained.
Service
5.0
Service was subpar; check-in was painfully slow, and my requests for assistance were largely ignored.
Location
9.0
The hotel is perfectly located at the edge of the city, making it easy to access the Smokies and nearby attractions.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast offerings were standard for a hotel but lacked variety and freshness.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities were disappointing; the pool was closed and overall cleanliness left a lot to be desired.

6.0/10

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The location is fantastic, making it easy to explore the area. However, the room I got was quite dated with some maintenance issues, and the elevator situation was frustrating at times. The breakfast area was also cramped and the food options left much to be desired.

Rooms
5.0
My room was small and definitely showed signs of age. The only sink was outside the bathroom, which made it inconvenient for multiple guests. There was also a bright light on the balcony that couldn't be turned off, making it hard to sleep.
Service
7.0
The front desk staff were courteous and helpful, but they seemed stretched thin. I noticed the same staff over the course of my stay, which made me wonder if they were short staffed.
Location
9.0
The hotel is in a great location, with the ability to leave your car and walk around to nearby attractions. Just be prepared for a hike if you end up in one of the hilltop rooms, especially if the elevator is out.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast area was too small for the number of guests, and the food options were lacking. On the third day, I opted for breakfast elsewhere because it just wasn't worth it.
Facilities
5.0
The elevator was problematic during my stay, with maintenance issues making it unreliable. The hotel's overall feel is in need of a facelift.
